From Displacement to Determination: The Journey of “The Giant”

After a harsh journey of displacement, he arrived in Idlib, where he continued his secondary education at Iradaty School, then moved on to university. The path was far from easy—he juggled the responsibilities of studying, working, and supporting his family, yet he never stopped striving.

At Iradaty, he was both a student and a teacher, resisting the hardships of displacement in the Atmeh camps, waiting for the day of return.

During the years of the revolution, he called himself “The Giant”—a name that contrasted with his physical size—to conceal his identity from the eyes of the fallen regime. Yet behind that nickname, he carried a heart larger than his body, dreaming of freedom and dignity.

Then came liberation. He returned with his family to their homeland, finally revealing the alias that had accompanied him throughout his journey of resistance. In the first year after returning, all those sacrifices bore fruit: he graduated from the Faculty of Political Science, beginning a new chapter in his life and contributing to the building of a modern Syria.
