Iradaty Documentary: Impact Stories from Our Community Center in Bursa

In the heart of Bursa, the Iradaty Community Center has become more than just a safe space—it’s a launchpad for transformation. For many young Syrians who found themselves displaced and searching for purpose, volunteering at Iradaty was the turning point.
Through the lens of the recent documentary, we witness how these youth stepped into roles that challenged them, empowered them, and ultimately reshaped their futures. Whether teaching, organizing events, or supporting families, they discovered their own strength and voice.
One volunteer described the center as “a warm family,” where creativity and compassion flourished. Another recalled the early days of forming the youth team, saying, “We were beautiful together, embraced by the heart of this center.”
Volunteering didn’t just help them serve others—it helped them heal, grow, and believe in their ability to rebuild. Today, many of them are not only active citizens but also leaders in their communities, carrying forward the spirit of Iradaty wherever they go.
Volunteers created this film in the last days before closing the center and returning to Syria.
We are all grateful to Ahmad Karbouje, for directing and producing this film, capturing a special moment in all our lives.
